The KCP 520 is the flight computer for the KFC 500 Dual Automatic Flight Control System which provides all of the command computation for the SCAS, autopilot, and flight director. Each KCP 520 contain four microprocessor. Two redundant autopilot processors provide autopilot control computations and autopilot/stability augmentation mode logic while a dedicated processor for Flight Director provides command computation, and the other processor assists in diagnostics and maintenance functions. Inputs for each flight control computer include control position feedback from the control position transducers, and attitude, directional, and rate information that come from the vertical, directional, and rate gyros and acceleration from acceleration sensors.
