TheKGS model RG56 is a high efficiency, high powered 28 VDC converterthat provides regulated 14 Vdc outputvoltage.The converter iscapable of delivering 560 Watts continuously at 14 Vdc input, up to 40amperes output.
The14 Vdc output is buck converted from the input voltage and therefore theoutput voltage is not isolated from the input.
Astate of the art "Synchronous Current Mode Switching" topologywith Surface Mount Technology (SMT) is used to realize the powerconversion.Control circuitryincludes use of a popular Synchronous PWM controller for voltageregulation and overload current limit.Protection circuitry includes output over voltage limit and outputshort circuit current limit.
