The Telex 5x5 Pro III features an ear tip style receiver, which provides better speech intelligibility than an earmuff-style headset in quiet to moderately noisy environments. The adjustable springs allow users to alter lateral pressure on the head and optimize load distribution and wearer comfort. The high-quality electret microphone has a flexible boom, which can be worn on the left or right side. It can be worn without the headband, by clipping to eyeglass bows or an aftermarket custom ear mold. A Push-to-Talk switch is available to order for ease of use.
The 5x5 Pro III is approved for aviation use under Federal Aviation Administration TSO-C57 and C58A.
