Traceability & 8130-3
In aviation, the paperwork is part of the part. We surface certification on every listing so you know exactly what you're getting before you buy.
FAA 8130-3
The Authorized Release Certificate documents that a part conforms to approved data and is in a condition for safe operation. Block 13c records the authorized signatory.
EASA Form 1 & dual release
EASA Form 1 is the European equivalent; dual-release parts carry both so they're accepted on either side of the Atlantic.
Certificate of Conformance
A CofC from the manufacturer attests the part was produced to specification — common on new standard hardware.
Conditions
New (NE/NS/FN), Overhauled (OH), Serviceable (SV), Repaired (RP), and As-Removed (AR) describe status. Note: an 8130-3 certifies a part's status, not its installation — the installing A&P/IA makes the airworthiness determination for a specific aircraft.
