
The KAV 485 Altitude/Vertical Speed Indicator provides centralized display and control of the altitude and vertical speed function on the KFC 3100 system. Display features an electronically driven altimeter and instantaneous vertical speed indicator, altitude and vertical speed preselect, barometric correction, and an altitude alert. The controls for the altitude/vertical speed selection and barometric altimeter are included, as well as mode selector keys that duplicate function of the vertical speed and altitude select key on the KMS 447 flight director mode selector.
The KAV 485 includes a preflight/self-test function that ensures the integrity of the display and command features. Automatic illumination of the display is adjusted via photocell that is integrated into the top right portion of the unit.
- Altimeter displays barometric altitude

- VS Flag indicates invalid IVSI display
