The CEP offers exceptional hearing protection commonly found with expanding
foam earplugs while providing directly to the users ear the clearest speech signal
attainable. A miniature transducer is coupled with a foam earplug in a unique
arrangement to yield a high quality, lightweight communications device.
The CEP
can be worn either alone or in combination with a standard or ANR headset.
The noise reduction of the foam eartip coupled with speech signals of exceptional
quality enable the user to achieve extremely high speech intelligibility in the
noisiest environments. Users find that the stress of air operations is greatly reduced
when using the CEP and results in decreased pilot fatigue.
