The KDI 574 is a master distance measuring equipment (DME) display without a selector switch. It can be used with an external switch or dedicated to a specific DME. It simultaneously displays distance, ground speed, and time to station while indicating NAV 1, NAV 2, or DME HOLD mode. DME HOLD allows the DME to stay on the current frequency, while the navigational receiver is re-tuned to another. Comes with an area navigation indicator (RNAV) to inform pilots whether the displayed time is to a waypoint or to a radio navigation beacon.
This KDI 574 display (Alternate Part# 01069-0004) includes a black bezel, NAV1 & NAV2 hold visual hold cue, and a diffused lens.
