Description
The AA83 (AA83-001) InterMusicâ„¢ Crew Intercom supports four stereo positions and can be linked to a rear AA82 passenger system via the ICS Tie line for true split-bus stereo operation for up to 10 users. When connected to an AA82 unit, pilots can create passenger entertainment loops within the aircraft and link them to the flight crew for common intercom and radio monitor functions.
- ANFâ„¢ (Active Noise Filtering) provides clean and clear intercom communications by filtering out unwanted ambient noise
- Built with high quality components such as sealed gold plated contacted switches, dry nitrogen filled/high vibration rated sealed relays, gold contact connector and a fully masked, post coated, flame retardant circuit board
- Pilot Isolated Mode provides pilots with a separate communications channel that is separate from passenger intercom or music
- Music is muted during all radio and ICS activity and slowly returns to normal volume when ICS operation is finished
- 11 to 32 VDC power input
- Headset output power rating: 100mw into 600Ω per channel
- Bicolor LED-ICS/Tx activity indicator lights up amber for ICS activity and green for transmit
- Pilots can override the co-pilot during radio operations
- Individual microphone gating reduces aircraft noise within the intercom through independent microphone circuits
- Horizontal or vertical mount options available
- Emergency Fail-Safe automatically bypasses the ICS feature and is routed back to the radio audio system in the event of power loss
- Short circuit protection ensures continued operation in the event of headset failure
- ICS tie line feature allows for integration into a multi-unit system
- Pilot/Split/All modes: in split mode, the AA83 and AA82 become independent intercoms supporting separate ICS groups
- VOX/Live/PTT modes separate VOX controls for the pilot and passengers
- Individual controls for music and ICS volume
- A wide band stereo music processor combined with the intercom RX functions provides an integrated communication system
- Internally adjustable RX volume, RX balance, ICS balance, music balance, bass and music mute

Frequently asked
Does the Intercom/Stereo/4 Place, comes with install kit. AA83-001 include certification paperwork?
This item is supplied as "Condition disclosed" rather than with full 8130-3 traceability — normal for some condition codes, and it does not mean the part is unusable, only that the paperwork profile differs. Check the listing for exactly what documentation is included, and request any available records before you purchase if your installation requires them.
What condition is this part?
This part is listed in condition as listed — Condition disclosed. Condition codes describe how a part reached its current state (for example new, overhauled, serviceable, repaired, or as-removed) and directly affect what paperwork ships with it and how it should be installed. See the Glossary for the full definition of every condition code we use.
How fast does it ship?
This item is currently on backorder, meaning demand has temporarily outpaced our stock and a new shipment is inbound from the manufacturer or our supplier. Request a quote and we will confirm the current estimated delivery window before you commit. If your aircraft is grounded, AOG expedited handling is available on request.
Can I return it?
You may return this item within 30 days of delivery if it is unopened, uninstalled, and in its original packaging. Items that have been installed, powered on, opened hazmat, or separated from an attached 8130-3 tag are non-returnable because their airworthiness status can no longer be confirmed once removed from the part. See our Returns policy for the full process.
