Our bots
American Aviation Parts runs two automated agents. Both identify themselves in every request and follow the rules below.
Who we are
American Aviation Parts sells certified aircraft parts. Our bots collect public manufacturer catalogs and part data so buyers can match parts to their aircraft.
User-agent tokens
- AAPCatalogBot — fetches public parts catalogs (PDF illustrated parts catalogs) and manufacturer pages to build our aircraft parts finder.
- AAPWorker — our back-office worker: calls search and data APIs we hold keys for, and talks to our own store.
Where we connect from
All requests come from one IP address: 44.245.238.52.
How we behave
We read robots.txt before crawling and obey Disallow rules and Crawl-delay. We pace every site, stop for days after a 403, 429 or challenge reply, and send conditional requests so unchanged files are not downloaded again.
How to exclude us
Add a rule for our token to your robots.txt, for example:
User-agent: AAPCatalogBot Disallow: / User-agent: AAPWorker Disallow: /
